How to get Google Now for Chrome browser

If you have used Google Now on your Android 4 device and more recently for iOS then you are lucky. Let me tell you guys that Google Now is awesome and I have been using this on my Galaxy Note device for a while now – after I got Jelly Bean update. But what if you did not get a chance to try Google Now on your device just because you don’t have the latest version of Android installed or your device doesn’t support latest Android operating system then you don’t have to worry. You still can get a feel of how Google Now is by installing New Tab Page chrome extension which is the Google Now for Chrome from Chrome Store.

This is not an official update from Google and is from a third party, so don’t expect everything from Google Now. As of now once this extension is installed on your Chrome browser, opening a new tab will take you to Google Now. The look and feel is very much like Google Now, but I see that as of now there are only 3 to 4 cards that are being displayed, one is the recently opened webpages on top, followed by local temperature, Chrome Apps that are installed and global Google news.

Google Now (from Google) which is installed on your mobile device has many more cards and will give you real-time updates and is more accurate. To uninstall this app, just go to Chrome properties (Alt+F) >> Tools >> Extensions and click on remove from Chrome – bin button.

  1. Hi, i read your blog from time to time and i own a similar one and i was just
wondering if you get a lot of spam responses? If so how do you stop it, any plugin or anything
you can recommend? I get so much lately it’s driving me crazy so any assistance is very much appreciated.
